How to make a pressure switch for a Surefire G2 flashlight
Written by Tyler

Everybody is always asking how to turn a Surefire G2 flashlight into a tactical flashlight with a pressure switch.  Here is an easy and inexpensive way to adapt a pressure switch to your G2 flash light.  This process takes less than 5 minutes with no special tools and absolutely no modification.  This way you can return the flash light to it's original configuration anytime you want.

Step 1: You will need a Surefire G2 flashlight.  We used a Yellow one just so you can see it better.

Step 2: On the end of the G2 flashlight, you will notice the tactical 'push pad' that comes stock.

Step 3: Loosen and remove the end cap.

Step 4: Disassemble the push pad.

Step5: Obtain a 'mini laser' made by SRC.  They cost about $14.99 +/-

** NOTE ** www.jungletoy.com sells the lasers in a 'package' for $12.99 including 2 cans of lube.

Step 6: Pull out the pressure switch that is used for the laser.

Step 7: Notice that the end of it has been painted.

Step 8: With a razor blade, carefully scrape off the paint from the pressure switch.

Step 9: This is what it should look like after you are done.

Step 10: Place the 'scraped' end of the pressure switch into the Surefire G2 flashlight like this.

Step 11: Feed the pressure pad end of the switch through the bottom of the G2 end cap like this.

** Here is an over view look.

Step 12: Place the end cap back onto the Surefire G2 flashlight.

Step 13: While gently pulling upwards to ensure it is straight, begin threading the end cap onto the G2.

Step 14: Tighten it all the way so there is no gap.

Step 15: You are done this is what it should look like.

** NOTE.. you may have to slide the pressure switch to one side or the other to make a clean contact.  it is not hard, just firmly push it to the side.  Do this only if the flashlight doesn't turn on.  It will turn on after the contact has been made.  Don't worry, it won't 'shake' around, it will only come unseated if you disassemble it or pull on the pressure switch.
