1. EQUIPMENT - you
must own:
- an AEG (any AEG is fine)
- extra mags for the AEG at least 2.
- a reliable side arm with a minimum of 2 mags for it.
(preferably 3)
- woodland camo (not digital) BDU's jacket/pants. Desert camo
and Black BDU's will be needed in the future. If you own other
types of BDU's that is fine but you need to have Woodland
BDU's
- a FRS/GMRS hand held radio w/ PTT headset of some type ..
Recommend a Motorola
- tactical boots (black or O.D./Black)... can be purchased at
Big 5 for around $25.00-$100.00. If you own desert boots that
is fine but you must have some darker boots as well.
- a Flashlight of some type.. any light you want is fine, but
you must be able to carry it.
- a tactical vest allowing you to carry extra mags and other
'goodys'..ITS/Blackhawk etc..
- a digital watch with a count down timer AND stop watch that
you're willing wear during games. You can buy them at Target
for around $20
2. ATTITUDE -
you must maintain ongoing qualifications:
- have a GENUINE interest in learning tactics and training.
- be able to accept and follow directions
- be a team player.. no lone rangers on this team.
- be able to 'think ahead' and adapt to changing situations.
- be a mature person and know the 'basics' of handling a
firearm.
- have leadership skills and be able to implement them. Fire
team leaders will rotate.
- possess or be willing to learn radio communication skills
- possess or be willing to learn tactical hand signals
- be willing to 'REALLY' train for the ops.. meaning we may
end up running and jumping during training.. in full gear.
- have stamina and endurance. Strength isn't important.. just
be able to 'go on'.
3. DEDICATION:
- We will have meetings every other week - Current day is
Sunday
- We will be playing at private and public fields bi-weekly to
test our skills as a team..
- Must be punctual and willing to train for a couple of hours.
- There will be quite of bit of reading or 'classroom' time.
Ie. we won't always be using our airsoft guns.
- Games are held every other week and meetings and training
are held every week in between. So in short, we get
together EVERY week.
4. DEPLOYMENT:
- Games or training exercises will be announce at least 1 week
in advance, you need to be there.
- Gear must be maintained in above average condition.
5. TRAINING:
---> A. what you
will learn:
- Teamwork and leadership skills.
- CQB tactics
- Forest/woodland tactics
- Desert tactics
- Night combat tactics
- How to use a flashlight tactically
- deception including camouflage usage.
- Suppressive firing
- 4 man entry
- 2 man coverage
- direction giving
- How to upgrade a version 2 AEG mechbox. including PERFECT
shimming.
- General, tactical and deceptive radio communication
- General and tactical hand signals. ( we may 'make' some of
our own too)
- Weapons retention and correct handling.
- Reflexive target acquisition.
---> B. what you
will do:
- Critique other squad members and offer solutions or
refinement.
- Critique other players and teams and present that intel to
the squad.
- Rotate as fire team leader.
- Invent new scenarios to play out during training or games.
- Work one on one with newer & inexperienced squad members.
6. QRT status
Applicant status:
- Once you have filled out AND sent in an application..
- Indefinite time period
- Can not be promoted to 'recruit' status until the age of 18.
- Can not be promoted to 'recruit' status until ALL required
gear is obtained.
- Required gear MUST be visually verified by an OFFICIAL QRT
member..
To
be promoted to recruit status:
- Must receive a minimum of 2 endorsements from senior QRT
members
- Have all of the required gear and verification sign off of
senior QRT member.
- Has attended first required meeting/training/game
- Indefinite time period... must pass evals
- In Eval term, must attend 2 meetings AND 2 games IN
SEQUENCE.
- If misses any meeting or game.. must 'make up' that event by
2 times. IE.. miss one game.. must make 2 additional to make
up.
- Official 'voting' can not take place until all of the above
have been satisfied.
To
be promoted to official QRT status:
- Has passed quals and evals
- Has obtained endorsements from 4 senior QRT members.
- Has all 'MINIMUM' required gear
- Has obtained a unanimous vote of all current QRT members.
To
be promoted to senior QRT member status:
- Has primary AND secondary AEG
- Has multiple sets of BDU's
- Has not missed any games or any meetings/training in the
past 2 months.
- Has to have 100% unanimous vote of all current senior QRT
members.
