Tokyo Marui AK-47 Airsoft Rifle gun review

There are many reviews on the Tokyo Mauri, so why another,
look at gun it's a classic, it's a super model among guns, it
has the nicest lines I have seen from a gun. I have nothing
against the M series of guns, but since just about everyone I
know has some version of one version or another, when I was
looking for an assault type rifle I wanted something else. I
looked at the G36C, and the Sig552, and I like both of these
guns, but being someone who likes instant gratification when I
purchase something, when I called my local Airsoft store to
see what was on stock, I don't remember hearing anything
beyond the words “Each of the AK's”, at that point I told the
owner I would be over later.
After sitting in traffic for a while (I had called during my
lunch break at work), I finally got to the store, walked in,
greeted the shop owner, and after looking around a for a bit
finally asked to look at a Tokyo Mauri AK47 with the Full
stock. A box was brought out, and opened and there sitting in
front of me was the gun that was to become my next purchase. I
picked up and the first thing I noticed was the gun has quite
a bit of weight to it, of course I am basing this on my other
AEG which is the Tokyo Mauri FN-P90, which is an all plastic
light weight CQB gun. After holding the gun for a bit,
sighting down iron sights, adjusting the sights, removing the
magazine and putting it back into the gun, I told the shop
owner I wanted it.
I paid $320, which of course if I had bought it online I could
have gotten it for less, but I would then have to wait for it
to be shipped to me, and as I stated above I am an instant
gratification person, if I can't have it now, I really don't
want it. Of course from playing Airsoft for a while, the other
thing I bought with the gun was a 9.6 1700mAh battery, because
I wanted a higher rate of fire and a high capacity magazine.
After playing with the gun like this for a while, I later
bought another standard magazine and high capacity magazine
and a second 9.6 battery.
This was how I played with the gun for a while, but then of
course the itch of the upgrade had reared it's head. After
thinking about it for a while what did I want to do to upgrade
the gun, for the moment I had decided I was just going to
upgrade the spring to an M100, which I have done. Of course
this increased the FPS, and you can see so when firing the
gun, and recently I decided that I am going to put a tight
bore barrel into the, which I will be getting next week.
So what are to pro and cons. The pros in my eyes are, it's a
fairly solid gun, it's roughed and well made. All the parts
that should be metal are except the lower receiver. The
markings are in Cyrillic, which ads to look of the gun. The
gun is a bit heavy, which make you feel like this gun will
hold up. The cons I see are the stock, the pistol grip and the
front grips are all plastic, though they do look a lot like
real wood, and there is a real wood kit you can get for the
gun.
One thing that should be noted while the gun is a 1:1 replica
if you are looking for a real AK-47 upper receiver make sure
to compare the one that comes with the gun, to the one you are
looking to get, some of the real upper receivers are shorter
than the Airsoft version and will not work.
But all in all, this gun is worth every penny I spent to
purchase it and has since become my primary weapon. And
everyone that has held it and fired it have all remarked that
they wish to get one now also, so if you are in the market for
your first AEG, or even looking at getting another one, might
I suggest getting a Tokyo Mauri AK-47, you will not regret it.
