There are many models of the Glock
and the most popular of them all
is the KWA Glock M19. I've went around and have heard that many
people
who owned the model 19 Glock loved it and was very satisfied. I
wanted
something similar to the G19 but since so many people had it, I
didn't
want to feel that I've copied other people. So, I came to the
conclusion of buying a KWA Glock Model 18c.
So I went with my friend who is 21 years old to Airsoft Extreme. At
first I was going for the Glock Model 19 but they were out of stock
and I was thinking about how other people would feel if I had it. I
was looking at the case with all the Glocks and then the Model 18c
caught my eye. I was asking a lot of questions about it. It looked
like a very good gun gun and it came with a metal slide and barrel.
So. I decided to buy the G18c because it came with a metal slide and
barrel, had semi and full auto
mode, and it had the same functions as the G19 but had auto on it.
After I bought the gun I ran to the car as fast as I could to open
it. Wow what can I say? the gun felt real, heavy, and very durable.
In the box came with about 75 BB's, silicon oil, BB loader, and the
gun. I cocked back the slide and smoothly went forward. I ejected
the magazine out and it was full metal
( besides the top ) The metal slide had an opening that looked like
a spiral barrel.
I took it into the backyard and shot from about 160ft away to but my
Glock to the test..... WOW ACCURATE, with the hop-up right in the
spot. When I switched it to full auto but not as accurate. The day
after I got it my friend and I went into their backyard to have a
little 1 on 1 . Geez after the first time I shot him he was scared
to death. Almost every 1 out of 3 shots I could hit him. It was very
accurate. On semi the metal slide crisply cycles with hard recoil,
resulting in a very satisfying “cuchink” type noise. The BB fly’s
off to its destination, with accuracy being pretty good for a
replica with a medium length barrel, hitting a man sized target at
120ft being easily possible. Full auto is something special - hold
down the trigger and watch those BBs fly, emptying a standard mag in
2 seconds! Cycle time is slightly less with the metal slide but the
sharp recoil makes up for this. I had a hard time keeping the
replica on a tree sized target just 30ft away. The G18C, sadly, does
jam, mainly in fully automatic mode. A BB just has to get somewhere
in the gun where it doesn’t belong and then you can’t fire anymore.
You have to take the slide off the Glock and pry the BB out with a
knife.
Accessories
Well there is the kit I have on my replica for a stock Glock 18C,
and I thoroughly recommend this upgrade. Other than that, there are
many after market accessories for the Glock 18C. Threaded barrels
for silencers, lasers, flashlights, scope rails for scopes, extended
magazine basses, the list goes on. Most of cosmetic accessories are
for personal preference but I plan to get a threaded barrel and a
Socom silencer for my Glock, apart from looking the part it may
improve accuracy a bit.
Conclusions
A GREAT GUN. I would suggest it for any expert/beginner who are
looking to buy a gun but just can't seen to afford an AEG ( the gun
cost about $125.00 ) . This gun is outstanding and I look forward to
bringing it to more skirmishes. Go out and buy it or if you don't
really want a full auto gun then I highly suggest a G19.
