KJW Ruger (MK1) gas non blow back airsoft pistol review
Written by Mike

Before I start talking about this gun, I want to point out that your friends will probably not want to play with you if you own this particular airsoft gun. That being said, lets start talking about the good and bad of this great Ruger AirSoft Replica.

The first thing that anybody who knows this gun will bring to your attention is that stock, it fires at around 400fps. Normal GBB (Gas Blow Backs) shoot around 280fps stock. I am not exaggerating when I say that when you get hit with this gun, it hurts. Your friends will wince in pain when you connect with them.

Who cares how fast it is, if the Ruger isn’t durable. This is a big deal to parents here in Southern California. From the moment you hold this gun, you will be able to feel that it is made very solid. The Ruger is NBB (Non Blow Back), so this means that there is not going to be any slide that moves. This sacrifices realism but what it loses in that area, it far makes up for in power and durability. With no moving parts besides the trigger, there is very few things to damage or lose with this gun.

The clip holds 16 bb's and is all metal. This doesn’t sound like much, but anyone that has ever broken a clip that had a plastic top knows how awesome this feature is. This gun is not a rapid firing gun. If you purchase this gun, don’t think you can layout massive amounts of fire in a short time. The sniper rifle carbine version of this gun has enough power to go through a metal chair close range in three shots, with the after market extended barrel option. Expect to spend a good amount of time trying to figure out what things 'this' gun can shoot through when you first get it.

As mentioned above, this gun can also come with a carbine kit. This makes the pistol into a very good beginner sniper rifle. The longer barrel creates a harder shooting AirSoft gun and more accurate as well.

This is an all-around great gun by KJW. It is a very solid gun that delivers heavy firepower, relatively un-matched by any AirSoft pistol. With all these great features, it is no wonder why this is one of the most popular AirSoft pistols in Southern California.
